Created on October 18, 2018, the Défi pour l’Environnement Aquitain-DEAL, is a non-profit association under the French law of 1901. Its purpose is to promote
environmental protection

The Défi pour l’Environnement Aquitain-DEAL is a group of friends and partners who want to protect our planet in a more general way, through actions in the field in Aquitaine (Dordogne, Gironde, Landes, Lot et Garonne, Pyrénées Orientales and Hautes Pyrénées).
Our duty is to protect our environment and our quality of life. We raise awareness among young people, in schools, colleges, universities, business schools and the general public, and encourage them to take action.
We organize actions to clean up and improve our environment – beaches, rivers, forests, disadvantaged areas and neighborhoods – and plant trees to preserve our Aquitaine community.
At the end of its fourth year of existence, DEAL has carried out more than twenty actions in the field, to clean up and improve the quality of life in polluted areas. We work all over Aquitaine, from Pau to Bordeaux, from Périgueux to Hendaye, from Marmande to Gujan-Mestras, and on our initiative, several groups of volunteers and associations have joined forces. More than 300 people collected garbage, planted trees, cleaned up disaster areas and divers even cleaned up the banks of the Adour!
In 2023, many challenges await us:
- Bring together associations that share our values, to organize 2 major events in Spring and Autumn.
- Share our objectives and strengthen our actions in the field with associations, local authorities, service clubs and other local players.
- Initiate and lead presentations and debates on good environmental practices in schools, colleges and universities
This program cannot be realized without your support in the form of volunteer work, suggestions for action and membership of our association.
Considered a public-interest organization, Le Défi pour l’environnement-DEAL is eligible for the donation and sponsorship scheme, and as such issues tax rulings.
